I feel like we have already accomplished a whole month (maybe even two) of baseball but SIKE! It’s only been two weeks!!?? I cannot believe it. This season is going to be a long one.. That’s alright though! More fun for us!
So lots more has recently changed and I just want to keep everyone in the loop! After Sunday’s game, Jake was informed he would be going back to Omaha. We were not shocked or disappointed when we heard this news. And if I’m being honest, I was almost slightly relieved for a quick second. The season had just started and we hadn’t even gotten adjusted to the baseball schedule routine before being moved into a totally different baseball world. We loved every minute of it and it was a great learning experience for him! But I’m just glad he’s back to starting now in Omaha. Makes our daily lives a bit easier! We know we will be back to KC sometime this season, so we are just so thankful for the amazing experience we had! Now he’s had a taste of the big leagues and will be working harder than ever;)
So what does this mean for us? Back to our original plan! I am currently in Illinois, where I will be for about a week before heading to Omaha. Jake’s team is on the road so I’m finally getting settled into a friend’s house. This is a HUGE relief because I was losing my mind living out of 7 suitcases!!! The kids have acres of space to run around and there’s a ton of room for us to get settled in. We will be in Illinois whenever Jake’s team is on the road. So basically every other week. I am pretty excited to take a break from the traveling/baseball and just get settled into my normal, healthy routine. I am a vey structured person so the lack of routine/cooking/personal space has really been throwing me off and messing with my moods! (Hehe, sorry Jake). But I already feel better after cooking my own breakfast and getting my workout done! Next week we will be off to Omaha again! Well, that’s the plan. We all know that could change at any second lol.
I look forward to sharing more about our journey of this season! This is a very convenient way to share about our current life/baseball updates since I kind of suck at all other means of communication lol. So keep subscribed so you know what’s going on! I have lots of fun blogs in mind that I’m hoping to post soon as well 🙂 Stay tuned!
