But Then I Had Kids

This post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Isn’t it funny how we always have these picture perfect ideas in our heads of how things are going to go? We play it out scenario after scenario in our heads in hopes that if we can imagine it going smoothly and perfectly, then it will really happen in reality. But how often does it actually play out that way? For me… never.

Let’s take motherhood for example.

I always said I would be the mom whose kids never had messy faces.. Because that always bothered me about other kids. I hated the crusty boogers (don’t we all?!) and the savored food pieces that lingered on the cheeks and hands.

But then I had kids.

I quickly realized how a simple wipe of the face could turn an absolutely amazing day into an absolute disaster, resulting in an hour long tantrum. I don’t know about you, but I would rather my kids rock the boogers and enjoy themselves than ruin our whole day. So now we show up to daycare everyday with dried up yogurt on our chins (sometimes even our hair) and I could care less what other people think. The kids are fed and happy, that’s all that matters.

I also always thought my kids would be dressed head to toe in the latest trends. I pictured them in clean, new clothes every time we left the house. I said my daughter would have a giant bow on her head and my son would have the cutest kicks on his feet. I envisioned them wearing perfectly styled outfits by yours truly.

But then I had kids.

Most days we don’t get dressed. We’re lucky to even have diapers on. Matching outfits are nearly impossible to achieve. We stain every shirt within seconds of it being on. They used to poop in every onesie and puked on every shirt I was wearing. My dreams of perfectly dressed children quickly became just that…a dream.

But wouldn’t it have been a dream come true to have won a year’s worth of Carter’s Body Suits?! I’m not saying that would have stepped up our fashion game by any means because kids are kids AKA MESS MASTERS! But I think it would have helped us wear more clothes rather than just diapers!

Well guess what mamas?! It’s your lucky day! I have partnered up with Carter’s to bring you an amazing oppurtunity of being able to enter this Win Every Day Sweepstakes with No purchase necessary! Just click here to enter!

I have listed the rules for you below. If you would like to shop in person for the time being, click here to see where the closest store near you is! I have always loved Carter’s because it was 1)affordable and 2) I could buy unique, gender neutral or even gender specific outfits and the twins still looked like they matched. I have always preferred to keep it simple when dressing my twins because any extra hassle on me or them is not worth it. SO hypothetically speaking… if I were to have twins again, this right here would be my go to outfits for them! 😉

Good luck, mamas! Rules listed below.
